It's starting to feel like fall around here. The frost was starting to kill back the leaves on the pumpkin plants so we went out tonight to pick the rest of them. This was our best pumpkin this year - a Spirit Bush pumpkin - they are really nice because they are not a vine and they don't take up much space. My children helped me plant them and fertilize them. Other than that the sprinklers did the rest.
We also picked a bunch more of the jack-be-little's, mostly on those that the leaves were black.
My daughter loved the curlies. I'm thinking Cinderella's coach right now.
Two of my nephews are here for the weekend and they helped us out too. We all had a lot of fun, especially the littlest nephew. He picked everything in sight and smiled ear to ear!
When we returned from vacation we saw two nice pumpkins on our front steps right in front of the corn stalks. It really added to the fall feeling and they are really nice pumpkins. I have no idea who did it but thank you, whoever you are! We added a few more little pumpkins too.
So here's the front porch all decked out in fall decor. Those stalks really want to do their own thing but with the wind we get here, I'm quite surprised they are still here. Someday I am going to get the orange lights out on this porch. Someday.
